Rob’s connection with Freedom Forward started in the early days of the organization through our outreach to community partners. Rob has remained involved with Freedom Forward over the years and continues to help Francesca, Camille and the team. He is an attorney, now retired, with deep experience in working with the Child Welfare System and is a Certified Child Welfare Law Specialist. In his last role, he was the Policy Director and a Supervising Attorney at East Bay Children's Law Offices, and prior to that he was a Child Dependency Attorney for Alameda County. His advocacy has included changing law, policies and practices in California to increase the privacy of mental health information for children in foster care. He also worked as Legislative Counsel for the California Judges Association. He served as Chairman of the State Bar Legal Services Trust Fund Commission, which administers grants to nonprofit civil legal aid programs.
